Our Story
Anomie was born during the pandemic in 2020..
Our CEO, Nina lost her ability to speak due to long covid.
Unable to express herself in words she started to use virtual reality to visualise her trauma remotely to her therapist. She discovered that virtual reality was more effective than face-to-face sessions because she could visualise complex emotions, situations and characters
- think inception meets mental health - but using a browser and a VR headset.
Realising vr significantly improved her ability to communicate, be 'seen' and understood by not only herself and others; she decided to create Anomie as a visualisation tool
for wellbeing practitioners to better understand their clients. .
Our Mission
Our mission is to change the stigma and discrimination associated with seeking mental health. We want to make people feel safe, seen and heard.
